 Yellow Labrador Puppies
Born: June 20th, 2004
We are very proud to announce the birth of Lightning and
Hawkeye's Coast Guard's 10 yellow labrador puppies.
The puppies are now 6 weeks of age and the new owners are visiting their
puppy for socialization. The puppies are
pictured below and are updated frequently. Enjoy the pictures!
Lightning's sire was FC-AFC Rebel With A Cause - The
#1 Top Open Yellow Labrador and
the #4 Top Open Dog (25 1/2 pts) in 2000, and the sire of these puppies is
AFC Hawkeye's Coast Guard (Cutter) - The 2003 Top Derby Dog in the Nation
for 2003. |

The yellow puppies are almost 6 weeks
of age and all of the puppies got to swim for the first time on a sunny,
warm day in Ohio. Annette got in the water with each puppy and they
all loved swimming. Honey enjoyed it so much that she jumped in
the pond on her own for a third swim, unfortunately we didn't catch that
great, picture moment. The larger view of the pictures are not
as clear, we were having too much fun. After their swim, they were
dried with a towel. |

helping the puppies swim on a nice sunny day. |

Lightning & AFC Hawkeye's Coast Guard puppies at 5
weeks of age. They are playing outside every 2 hours, starting potty
training, increasing their exercise time, and their weight average is 10
pounds.

Cash is pictured at 5 weeks of age. Megan comes
during the week, 5 hours a day, to assist with socialization and playing
with the puppies so they get more attention and loving care.
Socialization is extremely important as they grow and we want our puppies to
be wonderful puppies for our clients. Megan also takes the mother
labrador's out for a walk and swim at noon. Our labs and puppies love
to be spoiled! |

biggest and lightest color of the puppies.
All of the puppies are so much fun and lovable now, they love to be held and

The yellow labrador puppies are now 3 weeks of age,
have their eyes open and enjoy their larger play area so they can play with
their toys. |

starting to open. They are in a larger area so they can walk around

in the Nation - 84 Derby Points and received his Amateur Field Champion
in 2004. Cutter is owned
by Bill Hillmann and Jeff Talley.

His
sire was FC-AFC-Blackwater Ruby and the Dam was Sara's Trivial Pursuit.
We were extremely pleased with Lightning's
first litter of yellow puppies from AFC Hawkeye's Viking (owned by Mary
Hillman) that when we saw Hawkeye's Coast Guard we just had to have
a puppy from Cutter & Lightning's litter.

LIGHTNING WITH A CAUSE
 Lightning is a
big, heavy-boned, tall 85-pound medium - yellow female sired by FC-AFC Rebel
With a Cause. Rebel (OFA-Good) is the only yellow field trial champion with
two FC, AFC parents, both of which were black.
Rebel was the #1 Top Open Yellow
Labrador and the #4 Top Open Dog (25 1/2 pts) in 2000.
Lightning's dam is our own sweet and “innocent” Holly Terror
(OFA-Excellent).
Holly's sire is FC-AFC
GUNSTOCK'S BUTCH FROM WINIFOX
and the dam is GUNSTOCK'S BABE RUTH, MH, out of FC-AFC
GUNSTOCK'S LETHAL WEAPON.
Lightning is a big beautiful light yellow female with
big brown eyes, intelligence, enthusiastic retrieving desire, and she loves
to hunt. Like her mother, she’s a little bandit and picks up and carries
away everything that’s not tied down and is a sweetheart. Her other
fun past time is beating up on her brother, Thunder. She has a wonderful
disposition just like her mother, Holly. Lightning has a really great
winter coat.

These puppies will be of light to medium yellow in
