Yellow Labrador Puppies
Born:  October 28th, 2003
 All of the puppies are in wonderful labrador homes.
 We are very proud to announce the birth of Lightning and AFC Hawkeye's Viking's 13 yellow labrador puppies > 5 females and 8 males.  All of the yellow puppies are with their wonderful labrador families.  (Click on the picture for a larger view).  Enjoy the pictures below and see them from birth to 7 weeks of age.      
 
Woody is pictured to the left, with an OSU flag and Sheila is on the right, she loves playing in the snow.  All of the puppies are in great homes.  Please check the "Happy Homes" page for more pictures.
Three Puppies Playing.   Sheila - 6 Weeks.
Lightning & Viking's puppies are now 6 weeks of age.  They are the biggest of all 3 litters of puppies.  They enjoy playing with all the others, enjoy outside on nice days, and very playful.
Mercier's Puppy - 6 Weeks. Pavlica's Puppy - 6 Weeks. Scout - 6 Weeks.
Drake - 6 Weeks. Woody, Jani's & Male Puppy. Libby - 6 Weeks.
The puppies are now 5 weeks of age, are weened from Lightning and eating very well.

Scout - 5 Weeks. Sheila claims her resting area, on the cement block.

The puppies are pictured below at 4 weeks of age.  They are having a lot of fun playing with toys, running, and love attention.  They are eating extremely well and growing much bigger.

The puppies are 3 weeks of age, having a lot of fun playing, walking, their eyes are all open and eating their blenderized puppy food.

The Yellow Labrador puppies are pictured below at 12 days of age.  They are starting to walk and their eyes are starting to open a little. 

The yellow labrador puppies are pictured at Day 6.  Their dew claws were removed at Day 4.  The puppies average weight is 1 to 1 1/2 pounds at 4 days of age.
     

Our "special breeding" of Yellow Labrador Puppies with Lightning (out of FC-AFC Rebel With A Cause Puppies & Holly) with  AFC Hawkeye's Viking (out of  2X NAFC-FC-2X CNAFC EBONSTAR LEAN MAC) - was  the AKC Licensed Retriever Field Trial, 2002 Top Derby Dog in the Nation for 2002 and received his Amateur Field Champion title in October, 2003.
 Lightning is a big, heavy-boned, tall 85-pound medium - yellow female sired by FC-AFC Rebel With a Cause.  Rebel (OFA-Good) is the only yellow field trial champion with two FC, AFC parents, both of which were black.  Rebel was the #1 Top Open Yellow Labrador and the #4 Top Open Dog (25 1/2 pts) in 2000.  Lightning's dam is our own sweet and “innocent” Holly Terror (OFA-Excellent).  Holly's sire is FC-AFC GUNSTOCK'S BUTCH FROM WINIFOX and the dam is GUNSTOCK'S BABE RUTH, MH, out of FC-AFC GUNSTOCK'S LETHAL WEAPON.   Lightning is a big beautiful light yellow female with big brown eyes, intelligence, enthusiastic retrieving desire, and she loves to hunt.  Like her mother, she’s a little bandit and picks up and carries away everything that’s not tied down and is a sweetheart.  Her other fun past time is beating up on her brother, Thunder.  She has a wonderful disposition just like her mother, Holly.  Lightning has a really great winter coat.  OFA Hip certification > Good and Elbows > Normal (OFA LR-131842G24F-PI,  LR-EL18766F24-PI), Eye CERF > Normal (LR-36150/2003--26).   These puppies will be of light to medium yellow in color, and will be ready at 7 weeks of age > December 15, 2003.  The price is $800.  Lightning has OFA Hip - Good, OFA Elbow - Normal and Eye CERF.    Pedigree     Action Photo's

AFC Hawkeye's Viking (out of  2X NAFC-FC-2X CNAFC EBONSTAR LEAN MAC) was  the AKC Licensed Retriever Field Trial, 2002 Top Derby Dog in the Nation for 2002 and received his Amateur Field Champion title in October, 2003.  Viking is the first yellow labrador to be the High Point Derby Dog.  He got 92 points total.  He ran 35 derby's, giving him an average of over 2.6 per trial.  As a two year old, he got two Amateur second places.  In this fall season, 2003, as a young 3 year-old he has two Amateur wins and an Amateur third place.  In 2003, so far, Viking has 17 Amateur points, with three more to run before the completion of this year.  Mary Hillman states "How I was blessed to have such a special dog, I don't know.  I appreciate him every single day."  Viking is a real pleasure to train and to especially watch him learn and develop into a mature dog.  His best qualities are intelligence and his ultra sincerity in effort, as he is extremely tractable! Viking has OFA Hip - Good, OFA Elbow - Normal and Eye CERF.
